This trip was a homecoming in the sense that we revisited many places we knew when living over there, including our former residences in Scheveningen, Bad Godesberg, and Heidelberg-Kirchheim. The trip also realized a long-standing ambition to attend the German Wine Academy, a week of tasting, winery tours, and vineyard visits, which focused this year on Germany's Baden, Württemberg, and Franken regions. We also made a grand city driving tour of Germany that saw us in Nürnberg, Leipzig, Berlin, Dresden, and ended in München. The trip also included our first visits to Prague and Pilsen since 1972.
